Steve Reese is the President of Reese Energy Consulting with offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Dallas. Reese's main businesses include: short and long term gas marketing, NGL and crude oil marketing, gas midstream contract negotiations, midstream and pipeline asset evaluation, market research projects in gas and liquids, and energy training. Mr. Reese has 35 years' experience in the natural gas business. Before forming Reese Energy Consulting, Mr. Reese spent 13 years at Getty and Texaco where he was responsible for gas marketing, gas supply, business development, and gas contract administration. Mr. Reese has handled literally thousands of natural gas transactions involving hundreds of million dekatherms in the Mid-Continent, South Louisiana, Permian Basin, and Rockies basins.
He is also the founder and owner of Reese Energy Training. Steve has taught Natural Gas Basics 101, Gas Midstream and NGL Basics, and Gas Processing Agreements to over 10,000 industry professionals. RETI is currently handling the in-house training needs for companies such as: Noble Energy, Devon, Enbridge, Oneok, and Boardwalk Pipeline.
Steve is a recognized industry speaker with recent engagements for The Oklahoma Marginal Well Commission, The National Royalty Association, the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association, The Natural Gas Society of Oklahoma, the Desk and Derrick Club, The Oklahoma Law Review, and The Permian Basin Gas Society. Steve and his family reside in the Oklahoma City area.
Cliff Stover is a Production and Pipeline Engineer with expertise in pipeline operations and maintenance, gas measurement and sampling, gas midstream business development, asset evaluation and divestment/acquisition, and oil and gas production. His 35 year career spans stints at Texaco, Cimarron Transportation, and Copano Energy, managing both production and pipeline assets. He was responsible for the development of the Cimarron Midstream Gathering system in North Texas, which was subsequently sold to Copano for $95 million. Cliff remained with Copano for 4 years to transition the management of those assets. Cliff is now working with Reese on various projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico. Cliff resides in both Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Gainesville, Texas.
Lesa Bice brings more than 35 years of oil and gas industry expertise which began at Mesa Petroleum, one of the largest independent oil and gas producers at the time. During her 16 years at Mesa, she learned the business from the producers' perspective including production accounting, well connections, contract negotiations, natural gas marketing and scheduling. Her other producer experience was gained while working at Seagull Energy and Red Willow Production Company.
In the late 90's Lesa switched over to the "mid-stream" sector of the industry working for Red Cedar Gathering, KN Energy and Kinder Morgan, performing commercial functions for assets such as the Bushton processing plant in Kansas. In July, 2015 she left DCP Midstream after seven years in the Commercial group where she performed contract negotiation, scheduling, accounting liaison and project coordinating for DCP gathering and processing plants in Oklahoma and Kansas.
Janice Conway graduated in 1981 with a B.S. in Advertising from Oklahoma State University, Janice has been providing print and presentation graphics for corporate clients across the country for many years. She spent the first eight years of her career as a corporate graphic designer for Kerr-McGee Corporation and in 1989 was a founding partner of Legal-Graphics, Inc., one of the first litigation graphics firms in Oklahoma. She has consulted on thousands of cases mainly in the oil and gas industry. Her in-depth understanding of the oil and gas industry has led to consulting work on many multi-million dollar lawsuits, and the preparation of numerous print and electronic materials for asset sales and due diligence studies. Janice has handled many presentations, graphics, and materials for Reese, including projects for Pemex, Reese Energy Training, and The University of Oklahoma.
Vickie Dawkins-Kersey is a marketing and communications specialist whose expertise lies in the energy industry. She brings more than 25 years of experience as a marketing strategist, creative and communications director, and content developer across all media channels to Reese Energy Consulting. Vickie previously served as the creative director for an advertising agency, a communications specialist and media producer for The Williams Companies, a public relations associate for Kerr-McGee and a special projects writer for Mobil Oil.
With more than 20 years of experience in the natural gas and energy industry, Wes Haun is a highly sought-after speaker and trainer on the subject of Natural Gas Basics. His real-world experience combined with his unique teaching style has earned him rave reviews from industry professionals, administrators and new hires.
Haun currently serves as an independent consultant for a major energy user and other businesses where he provides professional advice on the purchase and risk management of both natural gas and electricity. He also works as an expert witness in legal matters pertaining to contractual disputes. Haun's previous positions include 11 years with various Enron subsidiaries where he was eventually named vice president of offshore gas supply at Enron Gas Marketing; and 10 years with KN Energy where he oversaw all aspects of gas purchasing, pricing, negotiations, accounting, and contract administration. Haun was also responsible for the company's deregulation process and transition to an open access/common carrier status. He left KN as senior vice president of KN Marketing and KN Interstate Transmission, and as a member of the board of directors of KN Subsidiaries.
Haun holds a degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology; an MBA from the University of Nebraska, and has performed graduate work at the University of Michigan and Harvard University. He and his family make their home in The Woodlands, Texas.
Bud Hum has more than 20 years of experience in Natural Gas where he has been engaged in virtually every aspect from "wellhead to burner-tip". Bud has held positions in operations, finance, marketing/sales, trading and asset management at renowned organizations like Amoco Canada, Direct Energy, Natural Gas Clearinghouse, QuickTrade and Budco.
His last 10 years were spent bringing transparency and efficiencies to the marketplace through his tenure at IntercontinentalExchange Inc. (NYSE:ICE). As Vice President of Natural Gas Products & Trading, Bud was responsible for growing the physical gas markets and creating financial swaps products, which helped the upstart platform become the industry leader in a few short years.
Bud, a pioneer of electronic trading and exchange clearing, has a broad and vast client list. These affiliations have provided him a unique and omniscient view inside the world of Hedge Funds, Proprietary Trading firms, Investment Banks and Commercial entities. He is well equipped to offer innovative perspectives on current issues in the commodities trading sector by drawing on his wealth of experiences and prolific industry relationships.

Sonja Langlee has more than 35 years of oil and gas industry knowledge which began in land with Sohio (later BP) in San Francisco, Denver and Houston. Sonja moved from land to the midstream sector with Tex/Con a subsidiary of BP. While at Tex/Con Sonja did gas supply for Tex/Con's gathering and transportation systems and was appointed President and CEO of Tex/Con's marketing company, Direct Gas Supply, on Long Island, New York with the responsibility to sell the company. Sonja has worked at Transok, Oneok, Okley Petroleum and Aka Energy performing commercial functions in supply and marketing, in addition, the acquisition and divestures of gathering systems.
As a consultant, Sonja has performed contract negotiations, marketing, auditing, purchase and sale of gathering systems, gas balancing, land and title work, due diligence and worked with attorneys on behalf of producers in law suits.
Ed Maples brings more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Maples spent a total of 25 years with Texaco, with increasing management roles of responsibility in Casper, Wyoming and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Maples then spent his final 15 years at Texaco in the Natural Gas Liquids group as a Senior Marketing Manager for the Mid-Continent, Southeast and Northeast regions. During this time he established relationships with a customer base of well over 400 propane and butane customers, developed and implemented marketing strategies still widely used today, and established himself as a premier wholesale propane marketer to retail companies throughout the continental US. After taking an early retirement from Texaco, Maples started a highly successful Wholesale NGL Marketing company that was sold within two years to Williams Energy. While at Williams Energy, Maples led another successful team of marketers in establishing a large customer base and shipper presence on all major NGL pipelines and storage trading hubs. Maples is a regular speaker on the fundamentals of marketing, supply and financial hedging at seminars and district, state and national conventions for propane retailers. Maples has spent the last nine years with ConAgra, Gavilon, LLC, and Natural Gas Liquids Energy Partners in Business Development, Marketing, and Asset Utilization. His areas of expertise include NGL marketing, consulting, NGL midstream asset development, and optimizing underutilized assets. Ed and his wife reside in Tulsa.
Ms. Kim McGinty has 19 years of experience in the Natural Gas Liquids industry where she has served as a wholesale marketer, trader, supplier, and consultant for several companies. Her expertise is in the procurement of natural gas liquids for wholesale distribution, leveraging assets and books of business for arbitrage opportunities, and in the development of trading, hedging and marketing strategies. While working at Williams Energy, Ican Energy and Gavilon LLC, Kim facilitated sales and procurement of propane, assessed NGL market conditions, and executed basis trades, exchanges and financial options. Kim attended Oklahoma University for undergraduate and graduate degrees. She currently lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her husband and two children.
Orville Mertins has more than 40 years experience in gas measurement, gas plant operations, gas sampling, and as a plant manager. His work includes 34 years of service at Texaco in various supervisor roles and as field superintendent for all operations for Cimarron Transportation and Scissortail Midstream.
Christine Spiro is an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. She began her natural gas career as a contract analyst for Sabine Pipe Line Company, devoting the next two years to learning as much as she could about the different segments of the natural gas industry. During the course of her career, Christine has worked in several sectors of the energy industry, holding positions at Natural Gas Clearinghouse, US Gypsum and Eagle Energy Partners/Lehman Brothers (now EDF Trading). Her experience includes sales and business development, origination and trading, energy program management, hedging, procurement, scheduling, contract negotiation, and corporate training.

Mike Watkins has 40 years experience in the oil and gas industry. During his 21 years at Skelly/Getty/Texaco, Mike purchased gas for company operated facilities, sold plant residue gas, authored numerous gas contract form contracts and agreements, and handled gas scheduling, gas balancing, right of way agreements, gas accounting, and taxes. Since his Texaco tenure, Mike has been involved with the startup of two gas firms; handling many administrative duties, including pipeline right of way, gas control, market research, and gas pricing data. Mike has been with Reese for many years handling gas sales and scheduling for clients based in the Tulsa, Midland, and Dallas areas.
Donna Kincaid offers more than 30 years of diverse experience in the petroleum and natural gas industry. She began her career designing application systems for natural gas contracts and gas measurement before becoming the director of gas transportation at Transok Pipeline, and later director of marketing for Transok's affiliated marketing company. After more than 14 years with Transok, Donna was one of two associates to start a local branch of Xcel Energy's marketing company E Prime, where she managed the office until its sale in 2004. She then led gas sales, production and contract administration for Tulsa-based Unit Petroleum. Donna has held numerous high-profile industry association positions, serving as chairman of the Southern Gas Association Transportation Committee; president of the Natural Gas Association of Oklahoma; and board member of the Natural Gas Transportation Association. She has spoken on numerous transportation issues at regional and natural seminars.
