Going…Going…Gone
If you’re looking to sell a vintage Schwinn or snap up a first-edition Harry Potter, you’d probably head right over to an online auction house, place your bid and keep your fingers crossed. But if oil and gas assets are more your game, Amarillo, Texas-based EnergyNet is your destination. Described as the “Ebay” for everything from oil fields and undeveloped acreage to royalty interests and pipelines, EnergyNet is the only continuous, 24/7/365 online platform with buyers and sellers like Chevron, Oxy, Bp, Continental, Total, EOG, and more. Government listings include properties in Colo., Wyo., and N.M., as well as the Alaska Dept. of Natural Resources which currently offers 1,729 lease sale tracts across nearly 8 million acres. As of today, the company boasts more than 40,000 registered users and 3,076 properties for sale or auction in 21 states. The latest listing comes from N.Y., seller Riverstone Holdings and its unit Mainline Midstream, which snatched up 1,100 miles of oil, gas and NGLs pipelines in the SCOOP/STACK/Merge back in 2017. The pipelines remain inactive. Better hurry though. Auction ends June 17.
