‘Iron’ Mike Is Back in the Eagle Ford Ring
No need to get ready to rumble but San Antonio-based Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners wants you to know it’s back in the ring, baby. This time launching its third iteration with another match in the Eagle Ford following the January sale of its natural gas gathering system to Houston-based Plains All American.
Reese Energy Consulting today is following the latest news from Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners III, flush with a “substantial” private equity commitment and a first acquisition in a play it knows like the back of its hand. Led by Mike Williams whose midstream muscle goes back 40 years, Ironwood has demonstrated a track record of big success in South Texas, acquiring, building, and expanding oil and gas gathering systems there since 2017.
The company’s new acquisition from an undisclosed seller (and for an undisclosed price) includes a crude oil gathering system in the Eagle Ford comprised of 50+ miles of pipe across four counties, long-term agreements for almost 50,000 dedicated acres, and two storage terminals with a combined capacity of 18,000+ barrels.
