Reese Energy Consulting today is following the latest news from Tulsa-based NGL Energy Partners, which just dropped serious bucks for one tall glass of water. NGL’s business segments include transportation, storage, blending, marketing of crude oil, NGLs, refined products and renewables, and water solutions. In fracking, water is worth its weight in gold and NGL Energy last week made a serious H2O investment when it purchased all the assets of Mesquite (Texas) Disposals for a cool $890 million. This now makes NGL Energy the largest water transportation and disposal company in the Delaware Basin. The acquired assets include a fully interconnected produced water pipeline transportation and disposal system in Eddy and Lea counties in New Mexico and in Loving County, Texas. NGL’s existing assets include water treatment and disposal facilities that stretch across the Permian, Eagle Ford, DJ, Granite Wash, Pinedale Anticline, and Eaglebine, which offer 3.2 million BPD of disposal capacity, eight disposal facilities, and numerous water pipelines that directly connect oil and gas wells to the company’s saltwater disposal facilities.
